then may you hear from the heavens, your dwelling place, and may you forgive; and reward each one according to all his ways, for you know his heart (you alone truly know the human heart),

For the eyes of Jehovah are roving about through all the earth to show his strength* in behalf of those whose heart is complete toward* him. You have acted foolishly in this matter; from now on there will be wars against you.”

Hez·e·kiʹah became king at the age of 25, and he reigned for
2 Ọ keghi lele ukpowẹ e Devid ne ọba ne ọre erhae odede, ọ na ru emwi nọ kere vbe aro e Nọyaẹnmwa.
2 He kept doing what was right in Jehovah’s eyes, just as David his forefather had done.
29 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was A·biʹjah the daughter of Zech·a·riʹah.

E Nọyaẹnmwa, keghi họn erhunmwu e Hẹzekaia, ọ yabọ ẹmwa nii, ọ ma vbe ru iran emwi rhọkpa.
And Jehovah listened to Hez·e·kiʹah and pardoned* the people.

He then appointed military chiefs over the people and assembled them at the public square of the city gate and encouraged them,* saying:
7 “Wa sikhua, vbe ne ai na fian afianma, wa ghẹ gie ohan Ogbaisi Asiria ra ivbiyokuo ne ọ viọ khian mu uwa. Ẹtin ne ima mwẹ ẹre ọ sẹ ne irẹn mwẹ.
7 “Be courageous and strong. Do not be afraid or be terrified because of the king of As·syrʹi·a and all the multitude with him, for there are more with us than there are with him.
8 Ẹtin ọmwa ne agbọn kẹkan ẹre irẹn mwẹ sokpan, ma mwẹ ẹtin ọghe Nọyaẹnmwa ne Osanobua mwa nọ gha gu ima khọn okuo mwa.” Ẹmwẹ ne ọba iran tae na keghi rhie igiọdu ne emwa nii.
8 With him is an arm of flesh,* but with us is Jehovah our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of King Hez·e·kiʹah of Judah.

But Hez·e·kiʹah did not respond appreciatively to the good done to him, for his heart became haughty, bringing indignation against him and against Judah and Jerusalem.
26 Sokpan, vbe okiekie, e Hẹzẹkaia kevbe Ivbi e Jerusalẹm keghi mu egbe rriotọ rhunmwuda ọnii, e Nọyaẹnmwa ma ghi rri emwa nii oya, a te do miẹn wẹẹ Hẹzẹkaia wu.
26 However, Hez·e·kiʹah humbled himself for the haughtiness of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and Jehovah’s indignation did not come upon them in the days of Hez·e·kiʹah.

Jehovah the God of their forefathers kept warning them by means of his messengers, warning them again and again, because he felt compassion for his people and for his dwelling place.

16 But they kept ridiculing the messengers of the true God, and they despised his words and mocked his prophets, until the rage of Jehovah came up against his people, until they were beyond healing.
17 Rhunmwuda ọni, e Nọyaẹnmwa keghi gie ọba e Babilọn nọ mu okuo gie iran. Ọba nii keghi gbele avbe igbama ni rre Juda, uhiẹn ighẹ te ọ gbẹlẹ iran vbuwe Ọgua Osa, ọ ma vbe tohan ọmwa rhọkpa, ibiẹka kevbe ni khian ọmaẹn, ikpia kevbe ikhuo iran ne egbe rranrẹn kevbe iran ni khuọnmwi, Osanobua keghi wa filo iran hia ku ẹre obọ.
17 So he brought against them the king of the Chal·deʹans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary; he felt no compassion for young man or virgin, old or infirm. God gave everything into his hand.
18 Ọba e Babilọn keghi fu emwi ni rre Ogua Osa viọ, ke asa Ọgua Osa kevbe ẹfe ne ọba mwẹ kevbe ne avbe irriegie ẹre vbe mwẹ, ọ na viọ ehia gha rrie Babilọn.
18 All the utensils of the house of the true God, great and small, as well as the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the treasures of the king and his princes, everything he brought to Babylon.

19 He burned down the house of the true God, tore down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its fortified towers with fire, and destroyed everything of value.

20 He carried off captive to Babylon those who escaped the sword, and they became servants to him and his sons until the kingdom* of Persia began to reign,
21 Erriọ ẹre a na miẹn wẹẹ ẹmwẹ ne Nọyaẹnmwa la unu e Jẹrimaia ne akhasẹ ta yotọ do sunu wẹẹ, Otọ nii gha dihorua la ukpo ekigbesiyenẹ ne ọ gha rre ihe uhẹwẹmwẹ Ẹdẹ Ikẹtin ne iran ma ghi zẹ yi.
